Ten Week
Introduction Courses
An
introduction to the principles of Tai Chi and how we can use them
in evolving ourselves. Course content will cover the following:
The
loosening exercises
These simple repetitive movements train the main principles of Tai
Chi such as relaxing the muscles, opening the joints and re-aligning
the body structure with gravity.
The
Tai Chi Form
Used to train co-ordination and flowing movement, emphasising softness
and connection to the ground to develop, true balance and the harmonising
of mind and body.
Meditation
This involves mental relaxation and the development of clear awareness.
Starting with the body as the object of concentration we move beyond
mental noise and into the living field of energy, the deep awareness
of now.
Cost
for the 10 week Introduction course is $220. Gift vouchers are available.
Form & Application Classes
After
the ten week course students can continue into the Form classes.
We encourage students to use the Introduction class to warm up and
also to focus on one of the aspects of the principles. Two classes
a week are also recommended for better progress.
When
familiar with the complete Short Form and partner exercises, students
can move into the Application classes and/or learn Sword, Stick,
Spear and Sabre forms. Practitioners gradually follow the Tai Chi
principles from training the outer movements to internal body mechanics,
then discovering the relaxed resilient connections through the body
and finally, emptiness of mind.
Private Lessons
Private
tuition is available at a convenient time for people with busy schedules
or those who wish to increase their rate of progress. Call the school
